Protect Our People
at the Polls

As we approach one of the most important elections to date, voter intimidation and suppression continues to impact the Black community disproportionately. The NAACP addresses this urgent issue through the Protect Our People program to help voters feel safe on Election Day.

We need you to serve as a non-partisan poll monitors for the 2020 election.

You’ll ensure that your family, friends, and neighbors can safely exercise their right to vote.

We’ll provide training and protective equipment, such as gloves and masks, and connect you with other volunteers in your community. You can set your schedule and participate at your own pace.

How it works:

  • Sign up to volunteer.
  • Attend an online training on how to help voters feel safe on Election Day. Use these resources to prepare.
  • Work at the polls when it’s convenient: any time from 7 am to 7 pm in your time zone.
  • Report any issues you see at the polls from your mobile device.
